Your post is alarmist and misleading. Yes, any new law puts those who break it at risk ofRead More prosecution, so don't break the law. The law specifically allows for transfers between family members so long as the recipient is not someone who would already be prohibited from owning a gun, such a a convicted felon. Even among family members, such a transfer would already be a violation of Federal gun laws. The law specifically does not allow the creation of a registry (which would already be against Federal law anyway): II. Nothing in this chapter shall be construed to require or authorize any state, county, or local law enforcement agency to establish or maintain a registry of firearms sold or transferred in accordance with this chapter. I don't believe that any responsible gun owner in NH wants to put a gun in the hands of a violent felon or someone who has been judged mentally unsound. This law simply requires that that check take place for every sale, and provides for punishing those who are not responsible.

Once again the State of NH making life impossible for tax paying law abiding citizens. There areRead More lots of laws, but FEW to punish those who break them......talk about Ponzi schemes...those in glass houses. The Governor, AG, CP and Senators are incapable and unwilling to do whats right..........see opposite side of law.....Criminal Justice in NH .....where Crime Victims have NO right and denied Due Process....what is this State coming to? We are all at their mercy and they endeavor to inflict maximum pain. Pay attention New Hampshire.....
