Road Closed Due to Serious Motorcycle Crash

A 24-year veteran of the Amherst Police Department was seriously injured in an accident shortly after 3 p.m. this afternoon in Milford, according to a story on WMUR-Channel 9.

Senior Patrolman Matthew Saunders, 49, of Brookline, was thrown from his motorcycle in a collision with a car that was attempting to turn left out of the Lull Farm farmstand on Route 13. The driver of the car, Carolye 63, of Milford, was uninjured.

Saunders was flown by medical helicopter to UMass Medical Center in Worcester with serious injuries. He was off duty and on his way home from work when the crash occurred.
