Time to overturn Citizens United

Many towns in New Hampshire had petitions on the ballot urging our state and national leaders to start work to amend the USA constitution to:  1. Say that people are people but corporations are not people.  2.  Say that money is not free speech.

The results showed that 47 towns passed the resolution and 12 voted against it.  That is over 79 percent that supported the resolution.  Locally Amherst voted 1529 yes and 997 no which is over 60 percent in support.  Milford voted 1183 yes and 439 no which is over 72 percent in support.  Around New Hampshire, Bristol, Groton, and Newmarket  voted 100 percent yes.  Dorchester Hancock voted over 90 percent for the resolution.

It is now time for the New Hampshire House and Senate to urge the United States House and Senate to start work on language for a constitutional amendment which will say that corporations are not people and money is not free speech.
